Datatag problems - JDeveloper and ADF

Jdeveloper 3.2.3 - windows 2000
Oracle 8.1.7
I have used the Data Page Wizards to create a query, edit and insert forms.
The forms are generated using the jbo: datatags. I would like to implement the following:
1. Query submit screen(hitlist)
Currently, the hitlist displays all the records in the rowset as stipulated by the RowSetIterate datatag. I need the hitlist to be a repeating page of 25 records, with links to navigate to first, next, previous, last. The left most field in the hitlist would be a hyperlink to a detail page.
I would like to implement the solution using the datatags as opposed to data webbeans.
Any information on how to manipulate any of the datatags required is appreciated.
TIA

dropdown action

Hi,
I'm using a JSP-page with BC4J to display data from a couple of tables. The form is in browse mode, but it contains a dropdown-box which allows the user to select different rows from the database.
Can anyone tell me how to get the rest of the form (just text-labels) to follow based on the selected element in the dropdownbox. I know howto do it with jsp and javascript, but not with the bc4j-components.
thanks

JSP Single Page Table Edits

I am working on a project in which the client wants to make changes to an HTML table of values without going back and forth to an edit page (as provided by the wizard).
So in my case I would present a list of items to update in an HTML TABLE, which is part of a FORM. Each item or row of the table would have the current value in an INPUT control. The user would enter a new value for each of the items and click on SUBMIT. The FORM submit action is the same page. The values would then be saved to the database. The number of rows or items in the table can vary, so it is dynamic. Also the client wants only 1 submit button, so using the EDIT BC4J component in the native form won't work as it creates a separate form for each row.
I have done this sort of thing only using traditional JSP and HTML. However, I am trying to use BC4J and the associated tag library. Could you please provide an example of doing this?
In the ways that I tried to do this, I have been successful in displaying the table and the edit boxes. However, I have not been able to get the values off the HTTP request and save the values.
Thanks for your help.

Need help with the Jdeveloper classes to create a search hitlist (BC4J, jsp)

I need to create a search page and a results page. The results page would need to show only 25 records at a time(per page). There would be the need for a "Next", "Previous", "First" and "Last" hyperlink navigating to the next 25 records, previous 25 records, etc.
I can create the search page. The problem I am having is trying to use the JDev classes to present 25 records per page. I assume I would have to create a rowset from the datasource, etc. but I can't get it to work.
Can someone give me some direction about how to create a search results page programatically as opposed to the pre-built datatag wizard which scrolls through every record in the datasource.
TIA.

Master/Detail with JSP Struts

Hi,
I used the wizard to generate a complete Struts-Based JSP application. I obtain some master/detail pages (based on links) and some edit pages.
If I follow this scenario of operations, the "Cancel Edit Form" link on the edit page will repeat the previous operation on the master/detail page, wich is very disturbing:
1) On the first display of a master/detail page, I click on the NEXT button in the master section wich shows me a second set oa detail rows.
2) I click on the Edit button on any of the detail row.
3) I click on "Cancel Edit Form" link on the Edit Form page (wich correspond to javascript:history.go(-1))
4) The master/detail page will redisplay and the NEXT operation will be done automaticaly so the page shows a third set of detail rows. It should be redisplayed with the same set of detail rows.
If I follow the same scenario on a the corresponding pages generated with the wizard without Struts, the redisplay of the master/detail page after cancel stay on the same set of detail rows wich is OK.
Why the behavior is different ?
This is fixed in 903 production..

p.s. Make sure to read the release notes for 903 production for instructions on how to upgrade
existing Bc4J JSP Struts apps from 903 preview to 903 production....
