Oracle Graphics - Urgent - Forms

Hi,
I have to run 1 graph which takes 1 parameter and this parameter
has 50 diff values.ie 50 output.
I created a batch file which will call the sqlplus and create a
batch file which will call the gorun60.exe 50 times each time
with different values.
this is my final batch file which will run Oracle Graphics:
gorun60 openfile=c:\g1.ogr userid=x/y#z id=1 close=yes quit=yes
gorun60 openfile=c:\g1.ogr userid=x/y#z id=2 close=yes quit=yes
gorun60 openfile=c:\g1.ogr userid=x/y#z id=3 close=yes quit=yes
gorun60 openfile=c:\g1.ogr userid=x/y#z id=4 close=yes quit=yes
...
...
my problem is though I have specified quit=yes multiple Graphics
Runtime opens and there is insufficient memory.
Any immediate suggestions is appreciated.
Thanks

Judging by the frugal and jumbled information you have supplied, it looks like the scheduled job is a call to sqlplus with arguments?F:\Oracle>oerr SP2-013700137,0, "DEFINE requires a value following equal sign\n"// *Cause:  There was no value for the variable or symbol. SQL*Plus//          expected a value to be assigned to a symbol or variable//          name after the equal sign.// *Action: Specify a value for the symbol or variable.is the first error, which likely has a knock effect to the call tp the procedure. As the bit after the error show "old 2: &proc_name new 2: DAILY_LOAD_FEEDS;"... could it be the trailing ";" causing issues, or the fact that parameter 1 isn't mentioned in the output you show? Can you please clearly show the execution of the "job" that worked manually andHow the "job" is kicked off andWhat is artos and what has that got to do with your issue?Again I am guessing, if the job works when you run it "manually", then it is how you have set it up to run within your scheduling tool.

ADDM report not generating in OEM

Database 11.2.0.2.0OEM 11G Grid Control Hello Guys,  I am trying to generate an ADDM report in OEM.  I chose the option of "Run ADDM to analyze past performance" and then I selected "Period Start Time" and "Period End Time" and clicked on the "OK" button.  The report is not getting generated. Are there any modification that need to be done in the OEM? Please let me know what all info you need.  Thank You

my car won't gotell me how to make my car go. How do I ask a question on the forums? https://forums.oracle.com/message/9362002#9362002 what actual clues exist within EM log file?
Hello sb92075,  I went to "AGENT_HOME/sysman/log" there is no log file "emagent.log", there is only one file called "emagent_perl.trc"  when I did "ls -al"  the out shows there are total of 17 files. fgh435her208:oracle:/clu01/oracle/product/agent11g/sysman/log>ls -altotal 17drwxr-xr-x   2 oracle   oinstall       3 Jan  5  2012 .drwxr-xr-x  13 oracle   oinstall      14 Jan  5  2012 ..-rw-r-----   1 oracle   oinstall    4725 Jan 19  2012 emagent_perl.trc
What happens when you run ?/rdbms/admin/addmrpt.sql from the SQL*Plus command line on the database server?
the addmrpt.sql gets stuck too. I enter the "begin_snap" and the "end_snap", after that it just hangs. the addmrpt works fine for other databases, it is only for the production that I am having trouble with. the following is the output Specify the Begin and End Snapshot Ids~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Enter value for begin_snap: 45827Begin Snapshot Id specified: 45827  Enter value for end_snap: 45829End   Snapshot Id specified: 45829      Specify the Report Name~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The default report file name is addmrpt_2_45827_45829.txt.  To use this name, press <return> to continue, otherwise enter an alternative.  Enter value for report_name: addm_chpprd2  Using the report name addm_chpprd2    Running the ADDM analysis on the specified pair of snapshots ...    ---------> (gets stuck at this point)
Have you looked at v$session_wait or traced the run of addmrpt to see what it is getting stuck on?
when I query the v$session_wait, I see the event "gc cr multi block request",  but I can't make out how that wait event is related to the ADDMRPT.SQL hanging. Isn't "gc cr multi block request" an indication of "db file scattered read" on a table? can you please tell me how to run the trace on addmrpt? I will run the trace and will see what output is generated. Thank You.

fast sql is slow when running inside a reports

fast sql is slow when running inside a reports
i have a sql-statement what runs fast direkt against the database.
but when running it inside a report it is very slow
I do trace the report and can see, that
the sql-statement hangs a long time,
while all other parts
inside the report are working well and fast.
what are the critical parameter for run the sql inside the report faster ?
database / java - parameter ?
any help ?
what are the critical parameter for run the sql inside the report faster ?None, a query runs in the database.
The reason it is slower in Reports is usually because it's not the same query you run in sqlplus. In Reports you may have extra formula and summary columns, lexical parameters, wrong type of binding, order by etc.
The best way to analyze this is to monitor the Reports session in the database (e.g. via TOAD). If the activity is not in the database (session is INACTIVE), Reports is formatting the output.
this are some details from the trace ,
the waiting-time is
on
first select 10:45:53 to 10:47:38
and the
second select 10:47:39 to 10:53:52
both sql-statement use some minutes in report when EXECUTE QUERY
and less then a second when start against the DB under sqlplus !
what is the difference between EXECUTE QUERY in report
and run it in sqlplus ?

What about the hints I gave you: any formula columns, wrong bind variables...
Did you trace the query in the database (not in Reports)?
hi,
i found,
the reason is arround the (in oracle R112 new & auto ) functionality of dbms_stats .
after run      dbms_stats.gather_database_stats()
the reports are slow,
after then run analyze over my tables the reports work well & fast
i will looking on, whats wrong ,
but now i can reproduce the reason
thanks all

ore.get() question

What is difference between the two commands: x <- ONTIME_Sx <- ore.get("ONTIME_S", "RUSER2")class(x) returns the same type. I suppose both command returns a handle to a database table object. And how can I check if an operation is executed "in-database"?
(While waiting for Sherry...) This was initially a "confusion point" for me too... It turns out that there is not any difference at all, which you can verify using the R function identical: > x <- ONTIME_S> class(x)[1] "ore.frame"attr(,"package")[1] "OREbase"> y <- ore.get("ONTIME_S")> class(y)[1] "ore.frame"attr(,"package")[1] "OREbase"> identical(x,y)[1] TRUERegarding your second question, we checked the "in-database" execution using the Enterprise Manager (viewing the database jobs executed due to commands issued in ORE).
Thank You!

Merging Files using File Adapter

We already have a BPEL process that polls for Emp file and massage the data and writes to another file, now new requirement is we get new file for 401K eligibility info. I need to merge the 401 file with EMP file.
Emp File :
EmpNo Name Location
10 Chris NY
20 Kyle MA
401K File :
EmpNo Eligible Percentage
10 Y 5%
20 Y 10%
Output File:
EmpNo Name Location
10 Chris NY
20 Kyle MA
Could you throw some ideas how to merge the 2 files into 1 ?
Thanks,
Sam
I can't see the difference. Output file is the same as Emp file. :)
But I think output is some kind of
EmpNo Name Location Eligible Percentage
10 Chris NY Y 5%
20 Kyle MA Y 10%
I create mergeFile process as "singleton" which waits in endless loop for receive message from process file1 (fileAdapter for file emp) and from process file2 (fileAdapter for file 401K) then invoke fileAdapter to write data from receive file1 and file2 to new schema. I set on "write" fileAdapter property "write to new file when ..." elapsed time exceed 2 minutes.
So if new files emp.txt and 401K.txt are proceeded messages comes in small interval. Between coming next new files longer period is expected then records from next files will be written in new output file.
file1 and file2 processes are needed because of need correlate mergeFile process.
So operations file1 and file2 of process mergeFile have defined element ID to hold correlation data. Correlation element ID is hardocoded value same for all processes.
